Privacy

smartEmp is run by SmartApz LLC. Businesses use it to keep employee records. The business is responsible for the employee data it enters; SmartApz processes it on the business's behalf.

• Data is stored on SmartApz's server. Documents and ID numbers are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM).
• Pay data and documents are visible only to the business's owners and admins, and every view is recorded in an access log the business can read.
• Clock-in records the phone's location only at the moment of clocking in or out, and only if the employee allows it.
• We send email (invites, sign-in links, weekly digests) through our email provider. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see card numbers.
• We don't sell data or use it for advertising. Backups are encrypted and kept for 14 days.
• To export or delete a business's data, write to info@smartapz.com.
